Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a masterpiece that broadly touches on life after retirement. It deals with the need for an early retirement plan right from the early stages of labour. With Americans at the heart of this piece, the author explores the big topic of retirement plans, which is very important to everyone. This book stresses that the average life span of the average American has improved with the advent of supplements like vitamins. Thus, the author revealed that 30 years have been added to the average American lifespan.
Following this very significant change, there is the need to plan, work, and save up for a comfortable old age. Although old age is said to come with weakness and many impairments, it is true that every human desires a good old age. To live a fulfilled life at old age, necessity demands good planning while one is in his youth, and the writer of this book has brought that to light. With no plan for old age, one will only be a burden on others and may not even live up to expectations. Clearly, the positive aspects of this book speak for themselves. One of which is that the writer did a good job by thoroughly bringing to light the means through which a person can work, meet their present needs, and also save for a wonderful old age. The book touches on many broad areas such as health care, travel plans, comfortable living, and many more benefits to enjoy after retirement, with the best investment plans put in place. Though divided into thirteen chapters, the book is an easy read with so many great ideas. Furthermore, the author relied on sources as the basis for his opinion. This was well captured in the notes at the end of the book.
Sincerely, there is nothing in particular that I disliked about this book. The author has addressed a very important topic, which no one can ordinarily deny.
This book looks at many things concerning retirement and the plan towards it. This stands it out. However, the book has some errors. But I couldn’t rate the book less. I, therefore, rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
As earlier opined, the author of this book has addressed a very important topic which no one can ordinarily deny. This book is recommended to workers both in the public and private sectors. This is not limited to Americans, but people from different parts of the world as well. This is because the issue addressed in this book is relevant to all humans on Planet Earth.
