Review of Strides to successful leadership: How to succeed in business and life
Are you an avid reader seeking a book that not just talks about leadership but also focuses on learning and understanding? If you want a book that focuses on the ways to achieve maximum success in your workplace, and not just there but also on how to create and maintain a healthy bond with your family, then Strides to successful leadership: How to succeed in business and life by Arvind Sharma is a must-read for you.
The book was divided into four chapters, which gave readers very beneficial tips on attaining a successful personal life, professional, and business career. Some of the essential topics discussed were how to understand people's positions and how to give them what they want. The role of a leader and how he can gain trust and the right attitude from his followers. The end product is, so they are eager to follow his instructions without hesitation. The author explained that the primary determinant of any success needed to achieve a breakthrough in life is the degree to which you adhere doggedly to your principles and set goals. He also clarified that the road to achieving success is not a bed of roses. It requires a lot of hard work and perseverance. These are just a few of the concepts discussed. I'll urge you to pick up a copy of this book to get the complete, absorbing information communicated across.
I felt at home with the book's contents because the striking images incorporated at some strategic points by the author made them more relatable. The lessons present in this book were numerous and immensely beneficial. Readers will get to know that learning is an everyday activity. It is a constant phenomenon that ceases when you die. There were several titles attached to various places in the book. I knew what the author was discussing at every point. The real-life experiences of the author discussed throughout the book were exceptionally helpful. It made the topics under examination understandable as they could be related to everyday events around us. I was able to see real-life events from his viewpoint. The author's intentionality towards his family was worth commending. I admired that he was intentional in being present in his children's lives, and throughout the book, he stressed the importance of family. After Arvind returned home from a failed business venture he embarked on, he was welcomed by his family happily without anyone blaming him for what happened. This went a long way in conveying his notion that family plays an essential and focal role in our lives.
I enjoyed and learned a lot from the contents of this outstanding book, and I'm happy to say I didn't find anything I disliked. It was professionally edited, as I saw only two minor errors. There's no reason to deny it an excellent rating of four out of four stars. One of the things I loved was the author's assertion that going to a different environment would improve your cross-cultural perspective because you would get to experience new things that would broaden your knowledge.
This book is highly recommended for employees aiming to build a commendable relationship in their workplace and achieve optimal performance. Employers yearning to foster a healthy relationship with their workers and elevate their leadership potential will benefit immensely from the success nuggets present in this book. Readers who want to succeed in their daily lives will find this book beneficial too.
