We’ve all been subjected to negative emotions. We’ve all felt pain, guilt, fear, and more. Seeking... Finding... Healing...: The Complete Guide to Self-Directed Inner Family Healing by Becky Lu Jackson helps become a better version of yourself.

Becky Lu Jackson, the author, humbly offers her stories and how she’s overcome some of the things she’s gone through. This book specifically guides one step by step to receive healing. She emphasizes having a strong foundation before delving into the world of visualization and meditation. She expresses how it’s possible to find healing for your past self, present, and future. She provides examples of meditations that address your specific situation. She shows how sometimes we react to things a certain way, but we never realize it may be a reaction from a member of our inner family.

The authors' openness and transparency made me love the book more. She said that it wasn’t easy to write about all this. It made sense why it may have been difficult to do this. Writing down insecurities that threaten to control your life, your misfortunes, your achievements, past experiences, and all that, I bet it must have felt as if she was baring her soul for the world to see. The fact that she is so keen on helping others that she put away her discomfort made me see her as a strong, brave, and kind woman.

I loved how educational the book was. It wasn’t the usual self-help book but a step-by-step form of guidance. It also included different stories from different people about how their journey of parenting their inner families took place. I mostly loved the idea of holding a meeting with the "board of directors," as the author termed it. This is whereby you would converse with your mental self, spiritual self, physical self, and emotional self.

There is nothing I disliked about this book. I would rate it a 4 out of 4 stars. This is because I loved how she provided guidance and explained each and every detail. She doesn’t just offer a solution or unload a huge amount of content, but explains it all by giving her own experiences.

I would recommend this book to those who want to heal from their traumas and are willing to be committed to all aspects of their lives. This is because the author warns not to try this if you haven’t read it, hence why she starts by laying out your foundation.
