Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fictional book about planning ahead. The author discusses the importance of planning ahead through health insurance, disability insurance, and many more. He also gives a career evaluation for those who might not be satisfied with their current career. He discusses when to actually quit one’s job according to his or her situation. Planning for retirement is also a hard task, there are lots of things to consider. Some of the things are when to retire, what to consider doing after retirement and when to start planning and saving for retirement.

The author walks us through those and more in retirement. He explains the various choices involved with retiring such as health covers, and life protection to mention a few. Do you have an idea of what is ahead of your life? Most probably not. Wouldn’t it be better if you planned and got ready for any incidences or opportunities? To do an organized plan guided by a professional, consider reading Reconfigurement by Alan Fleischauer.

Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is very interesting and Mr. Alan’s format of writing makes it very enjoyable to follow his explanations. He focuses more on retirement planning and even gives brief historical accounts of why some preparation methods came to be, making the reader more aware of the concepts mentioned and how it helps.

A positive aspect I noted from the book was the jokes the author wrote related to the topics discussed in every chapter. It lightened my mood and kept me reading the book till the end. The author did a good job of explaining all the complex financial details in a simple and understandable manner. Another positive aspect I noted is that Mr. Alan places references for books related to a discussion for further reading.

I also love how the author did countless research and integrated them into the book for relevant advice. The information in the book is just enough, not too much to bore a person or too little to leave unanswered concerns, that is what I like most about the book.

My favorite chapter was the career plan. It had self-evaluation tests which allowed me to know more about myself. This helped me think about my current career and the career opportunities that might suit me according to my strengths and interests.

I have no negative aspects regarding the book. It is exceptionally edited with no errors. For this reason, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to youths and adults who are planning to move into the next chapter of their lives.
