When we imagine a world without peace, we'll imagine chaos ripping through every city, every state and every country, ultimately resulting in war and protests. This book is written as a memoir that discusses his life from a young child and how he began to fight for peace and independence. It is important to understand that the author was a full-on activist, and nothing would stop him in his tracks promoting the rights that individuals have when protecting their countries, and the world. He often discusses the barriers he faced whilst on the mission of fighting for peace.

A Dream For Peace was written by an activist, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, and follows his life as he promotes peace. The book is organised well and follows events during the twentieth century through the eyes of Berrah. Berrah is an activist that supports the world and his own origin; Constantine, Northeastern Algeria. He believes that without peace, the world is unable to function and, therefore, he spends his entire life fighting for peace. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah began his mission for world peace in his youth when he began fighting the colonisation of Algeria. He does not keep events in his life unknown, such as jail time. During his time in jail, he carried on his legacy and kept promoting world peace, something he had a passion for and didn't stop promoting it.

The author provides images throughout this memoir. I like this because it allows the reader to grab a virtual understanding of what is being spoken about. Moreover, the author uses language that is simplified and appears to accommodate the intended audience it is written for. There are many subheadings within this book. It is ideal for readers to understand what subject they are reading about. The grammar appears to be professional; hence not being able to find any within the memoir. This leaves me to be confident that this book is professionally edited.

There wasn't much to dislike about the memoir. I was swallowed by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's life and his ways of promoting peace within his local country and the world as a whole from the moment I opened the memoir. I came across French words such as 'faux paz', which may be difficult for readers who are not familiar with French words and their meanings. As a recommendation, I would suggest the author include a glossary and translation page that shows the translation between words in French and their English meanings, making it easier for readers to understand.

A Dream For Peace is a memoir that is informative and rather inspiring. The memoir appears to be well-edited. It provides information that the reader can absorb and use appropriately in their daily life. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. I am in favour of this book. I love how the author highlights parts of his life that may seem negative to some, but he turned them into his advantage and carried on promoting peace. The book would appeal to those who have a keen interest in political science.
