Having a life well planned is great, especially the financial part. Reconfigurement is a book by E. Alan Fleischauer: It entails all the processes required to have a better retirement: budgeting, personality assessment, and career choices. The point where we have to make our everyday life enjoyable is after retirement. We don’t have to work hard enough during our years of retirement if we have a well-covered retirement fund.

As a financial advisor, he gave detailed information about retirement, ways, and things to consider while planning ahead in the aspect of finance. The importance of budgeting, investing, having insurance, and the processes involved in planning ahead were fully explained, as were the disadvantages of not planning ahead. He made reference to real-life situations. Reconfigurement is all about planning ahead of time; it provides a step-by-step guide to the process. It states that there’s never an age limit for planning ahead. You can take a different path at any point in your life, but it urges us not to wait till we are at the peak of our lives to start planning. He also talks about the importance of having a career or job that makes us happy, because how much effort we put into it depends on how stimulating it is for us.

The author provided detailed information and examples on any topic. He did a great job of analyzing the book plainly and understandably. I like how encouraging it is. There’s no age barrier to having a reconfigured life. He also made it clear that in the process of planning ahead, you’re looking forward to a stress-free life. I appreciated how he suggested books that would be extremely useful in the reconfiguration journey. I thought it would be all boring, but it’s really intriguing and his sense of humor is top notch. My favorite part is the quotes he used. They were all educational, and they kept me looking forward to more chapters. As a reader, I found out I’m far behind in planning ahead. I didn’t know how important it was for the future. It’s an impactful read and a learning process for me.

I encountered no errors in the book. I found nothing dislikeable about the book because it’s all about helping to have a better life.

I rate this book 4 stars out of 4 stars. And I recommend it to all, because planning ahead is meant for everybody, mostly for those that want to have control over their financial status. It’s never too late to live the life of your dreams.
