We will all reach a stage in life where our bodies and minds are worn out and the prospect of having to wake up to a new day of a laborious job seems absolutely cumbersome. Our age has declined and the only advice we get from the people around us is to retire. But with the prospect of retirement comes the fear of not knowing the next step to take. The anxiety of not knowing where the next paycheck will come from or how long the meager savings will last throws us into a spiral of torment. This is where the need for financial literacy comes in. This is where Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer comes in.

In a nutshell this book educates readers on financial planning and addresses everything that can help readers formulate a solid financial plan for the future. The author discusses and elaborates on various important topics such as career assessment and insurance policies. The main idea that the author emphasizes is that people can reconfigure at any age as long as they are able to plan in an effective and sensible way.

My favorite part of the book was the research depicted. In order to write this book the author conducted intensive research in different areas of retirement and this is shown in the book. This serves to make the information more trustworthy and oriented towards the general public. The diagrams and pictorials also serve as a nice break from blocks of text and help engage readers better. Another area I enjoyed was the author's style of writing. It was very conversational and felt like the author was talking directly to me instead of feeling like I was reading a boring research paper. The author's humor was also very much appreciated and added a lighter and funnier touch to the book. I also liked the fact that the author added relevant examples for everything and even took the trouble to add actual institutions, websites, and any sort of external research that the reader might find useful.

There was nothing that I disliked about this book. I massively enjoyed reading it and applaud the author for this masterpiece.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The editing was exceptional and I found no mistakes. Even though this book is largely aimed at people above the age of forty, I will take a leap and greatly encourage the youth to read it as well because it's incredibly insightful and a great way to understand the future. This was one of my favorite books I have read and really hope other readers would check it out and agree with me.
