Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life At Any Stage And Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a must-read for you. Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fiction book about reconfiguring your life, especially if you’re approaching retirement, with access to all the basic comforts, but in order to afford more than just basics, such as traveling and not relying on others to pay for their expensive medical bills, etc. they must have enough money. The author talks about budgeting and saving for the life after retirement.

Financial stress is a never-ending saga in our life. Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life At Any Stage And Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer covers areas like investments, life protection, health insurance, social security, and career choices, among others. This book walks you through the pitfalls of late retirement planning to teach you how to invest and save your money. The author shares his experience of re-configuring his own life after having a stroke and motivates others to learn from his mistakes of not planning at an earlier age.

Reconfigurement has a lot of thought-invoking content that hooked me as a younger reader. One thing I liked about the book was the author’s writing style. Though the book was informative, the author kept the reader entertained with lovely jokes throughout the chapters. The author made sure to keep an equal balance of both value and fun so that the readers don’t get bombarded with nonessential knowledge.

The book has been edited well. I enjoyed reading it. Furthermore, I learned a lot about planning ahead. I liked everything about the book; hence I rate it four out of four stars. There are no negative features in Reconfigurement. It is the perfect manual for financial advisors and working individuals enthusiastic about saving money and planning for life’s eventualities.

I recommend the book to young adults studying at university or entering the workforce as it could help them reconfigure their career choices. The book is also helpful to those already in the workforce as they may find out if they are the right fit for the job they are in or if they need to reconfigure their job. To reconfigure means to rearrange or reshape. Now the person retiring may not be old enough to leave the work altogether so they may start another job/career. Hence, anyone who is ready to change their lifestyle, especially the financial aspect of their lives, for a better tomorrow, will benefit a lot from reading this book.
