Review of Reconfigurement
Not planning at all is planning to fail, is how E.Alan Fleischauer puts it in the book Reconfigurement . The book has a dedicated sizable number of chapters where the author has shared his tenets of knowledge and wisdom that can help a reader along the path of planning, and since you can't plan for the past, it helps plan for the future. The author has intensively done his research and in his book, a reader can interact with personality tests that help a reader know their personality and how they are able to make use of the same maximally. While sharing his belief system, he has also been able to share the current methods that those interested in planning ahead can utilize to be able to cater to their pensionary needs.
The book is quite educative as there are so many concepts and methods the author has explored in the book in order to drive his point home and for the reader to understand the content of the book. Given the author is a financial strategist, he happens to be speaking from experience, which then adds credibility to what he shares with his readers. The author can also help a reader think big and out of the box so that they can be able to avoid stagnation and frustration at the very least, especially in advanced years. Retirement is a headache for so many people, and he tries his best to offer solutions to whatever audience that may interact with the book in order to be of help to them.
The author speaks from a reality point of view, which may pose a harsh truth, but the good thing is that he offers solutions to most of the issues he raises in the book. I liked that the book wasn't too serious and I was able to enjoy going through it as it even has jokes, let alone wise quotes. The book is also a hub of rhetorical questions that help a reader think through what is being asked and cause some impact. I also liked the author's soft reprimanding, which helps his audience take any corrections and advice softly, and hence the same can be applied to their financial life. The book has some renowned facts that the author uses to put his point across. He has stylishly boxed them so they clearly stand out and can be a place to take a break even as one reads. What's most impressive is that the book has provided so many alternatives that a reader is spoilt for choice when it comes to implementing them and will easily resort to whatever methods fit their bracket.
I found nothing to dislike about the book, and surely it was exceptionally edited with no errors. The book has a plethora of links taking a concerned reader to higher levels of whatever is being discussed in the book. The book's font and spacing are also tremendously done, and the way the chapters have been presented is quite awesome as there is room for breaking up quite an essential component of any book. The insurance fields discussed herein I'm pretty sure most of us have never interacted with them, hence this was a plus for me.
I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars since I encountered no errors whatsoever or any events that affected my reading of the book in any way. The book is informative, which also improved the rating of the book. I would recommend the book to salaried employees nearing retirement in order to plan ahead of time so that they can get the most out of their pensions.
