Being knowledgeable is one of the beautiful traits that everyone should possess. Reading is one of the greatest sources of knowledge, especially reading what we do not know or intently love. The author said that before he made up his mind to write this book, he had read a lot of books with information about financial literacy. Those that point to both the left and right brain. The other aspect is that he had been a financial advisor for twenty years.

One of the observations made by the author is the increment in the years of our life expectancy. This is due to the ongoing research in both science and technology. That is to say, the diseases that we suffer from, food we eat and way we lead our lives. Therefore, while our worries about death keep decreasing, those about how we live keep increasing. Reconfigurement is a guide about what we should consider as far as our finances are concerned. The author of this book is E. Alan Fleischauer.

Some of the things the author focused on were planning ahead, working at a job you love, and having fun before you retire. The others include career assessment, making investments, and insurance. Most of the terms used are those that apply to the American society. For example, the 401k. The 401k is a retirement savings plan offered by many American employers. It also has tax advantages for the savers. The part that truly caught my eye was career assessment. It helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, I am focusng on strengthening my weaknesses as well. I am still toiling. I must say that I readily identified Winston Churchill's quote. The sad part is that it is actually true.

I loved everything about this narrative. Because the references used are those of America, I still have the role of matching them with those in my country. I am definitely considering my career choices, especially the one I must carry on even after retiring. It is still along way there, but it is not too early either. Such a book is a good read for school-going children. That is when they get to choose the subjects that will point them to their future careers. This narrative was exceptionally edited because I did not notice a single mistake. With that said, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The author preferably points this book to those aged 40-50, but I think that it would be a bit late. In my opinion, I recommend this book to those aged fifteen years and above who are looking at what career choices they should be making, assessing themselves with the aim of identifying their strengths and weaknesses, if the person is 40-50 years of age and has to provide financial advice, assistance to others or wants to elaborate more on the importance of saving for their retirement.
