Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Snatched Up to Heaven! by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is based on the true story of the authors’ two young daughters, Priyanka and Deepika, who had visions of Heaven and Hell. The two young girls, ages four and two, are spiritually carried away to Heaven by Jesus, who was carried by angels. In Heaven, they see a beautiful environment unlike anything seen on Earth. They got to speak face-to-face on different occasions with God and Jesus. Who taught them life lessons and showed them the promise of a more divine life.
They returned home and were taken another time by Christ to visit Hell. The children recounted the dreadful smells and terrifying monsters they saw. After the girls had revealed the visions to their parents, the authors decided to narrate a book on the experiences their daughters had in order to inspire Christians to live towards a heavenly paradise. Does it sound too good to be true? You decide after reading it for yourself.
This book was a remarkable inspirational story. It contained only ninety-three pages, making it a quick and easy read for busy parents to read as a profound story to enlighten their children. It was a wonderful story to read about the faith that their family had in Christ. They showed the diligence they had in teaching their children about the Bible from a young age.
I appreciated the quoted Bible verses that the authors used to relate the experiences that their daughters encountered. It demonstrated that they were well-versed in the subject and had conducted extensive research. It was also beneficial to the reader how they described their children's experiences first and then gave their view on what they thought each vision meant. The stories flowed effortlessly into each other and were narrated simply enough for anyone reading to understand.
I only discovered a few errors, showing that it was professionally edited. Therefore, I would have to give this book four out of four stars. I would recommend this book to Christian worshippers or fallen Christians searching for a sign to believe again. As a believer in Christ, this book has revealed to me that there is hope for a heavenly paradise. It has renewed my faith in Christ and given me the extra drive I needed to start reading the Bible again and encourage my children to read it as well. This book will also be a pleasant story for Christian parents to read to their younger children. In addition, it is a great book to be used for Bible study.
