Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a personal development book on the best ways to have a happy and fulfilling life after retirement. With the increase in the lifespan of an average human being compared to the last decade, there is need for life security, social security as well as income security. According to research, people tend to live longer nowadays which is why planning for a healthy financial life after retirement is very important. A lot of retirement strategies are suggested in the book and how best to go about each. The book also explains in detail, career assessment which can be used to evaluate the state of one's career. Investing before retirement is an important aspect of having an healthy retirement life. Some of these investments are suitable for retirees and some are not due to their exhaustive and low-yielding nature. A lot of websites and assessment tools were suggested and explained by the author in the book. Insurance is very important for salary eaners. The book suggests the different insurance schemes available and best way to choose the right one.

I was able to learn the best ways to plan financially as well as the risks associated with finance. I like how the author narrated real-life stories in order to drive home his points. This aids a better understanding of what the book is all about. Errors are rare, and the words in this book are conveyed in an unambiguous manner. This provides means by which the readers can carry out both self and career assessment.

I would also recommend this book to people who need more information about the available insurance schemes and the best one that is suitable for them.
