Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is focused on planning ahead. It is a wonderfully crafted, realistic, informative book directed towards retirees or those planning towards retirement. With an air of realism, the author presents readers with the facts concerning what a lot of retirees face in terms of their finances. So many people work and save towards retirement for most of their adult life, yet they don't get to enjoy the luxurious life they dreamed of. In this book, the author offers a host of ideas, options and tools that people can put to practice in order to live a reconfigured life. Throughout the book, he continually emphasized the importance of planning ahead.

I'm not exactly a fan of non fiction or financial books, so initially, I thought Reconfigurement wouldn't be a good fit for me. I eventually decided to brave it and just read something different, seeing as I've read one of the author's previous novels which I enjoyed. Fortunately, I don't regret my decision. I'm not close to retirement age, in fact I don't think I've ever even considered it, but reading this book gave me a whole new perspective of what retirees face. So many people tend to procrastinate and put off planning for things like this for as long as possible but the author highlighted the importance of planning ahead.

Reconfigurement is a highly informative book as the author's suggestions are backed up by facts. It's more than obvious that he put in his fair share of research. Normally, a book like this would bore me with all its financial jargons but the author included a plethora of jokes and puns that made the book interesting and kept me laughing, although I'll admit there were a few times I zoned out.

I have no negative comments about Reconfigurement, though I encountered a few errors. All in all, it's a financial guide to retirement with in depth information about various plans that pertain to retirement.

I rate this book four out of four stars and I recommend this book to retirees or generally anyone who intends to retire, or lovers of financial books.
