Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fiction book on the need to plan ahead of retirement age. The author created a program to address the chasm between the reality that people live longer and the tradition that people used to die a little bit early. Hence, the need to have retirement-life plans is essential. The book covers career testing, investing, life protection, affordable health insurance, and social protection plans. On career testing, one should choose wisely on the career path, for it is fun working at a job you love, and quitting the job abruptly without a plan is much discouraged. Other than having gainful employment, investments are reliable sources of accumulating assets. Prudent management is a consideration for those adopting an asset-focused financial plan. There are social security benefits to having universal life insurance. There have been several myths about the social security systems in the United States of America, but E. Alan Fleischauer sheds light on the readers about it, giving the eligibility to these programs.
It is an educational and inspirational book to read. The author has used his experience as a financial advisor and practitioner to advise readers to work hard, invest, and plan ahead of their retirement. Again, while presenting the new retirement strategies, the author highlights where to start planning, how to plan, and what goals to give priority. Also, through his innovativeness, the author has given an eye-opening experience to the reader, giving tools useful to guide, lead, and empower those willing to adopt his proposed reconfigurement financial plan, considering it as a turning point. Once more, the author advises the reader to involve creativity in handling the midlife crises, an aspect that will make them reconfigure their lives into something more rewarding. Finally, to renew the reader's hope, dreams, and aspirations, the author referred the reader to other books with related concepts: Retirement Planning Guidebook by Wade Pfau, The Best Work-From-Home Jobs For 2020: Legitimate Remote Jobs That Are (Almost) Always Hiring by Annie Sandmier, 127 Home-Based Job and Business Ideas: Best Places to Find Jobs to Work From Home & Top Home-Based Business Opportunities by Gundi Gabrielle, and many more books.
There is hardly anything to dislike in this book.
I rate this book four out of four stars. The book is edited professionally. The well-expounded concepts are in an easy-to-read format. Additionally, the contents are relevant and centered on the title, Reconfigurement.
I recommend this book to mature adults within the middle age group of 40-50 years. They are at the best life stage and position to consider adopting the concept of reconfigurement financial planning.
