Review of Not Created To Break
Not Created To Break is a book that is a narration of the incidents the author, Alisa D. Boyd, encountered both while growing up and at a mature age. The book aims to inspire individuals who are passing through turbulent times and are haunted by the guilt of their past. We live in a world where people have no hope for the future due to the mistakes of the past. Alisa Past.
Alisa faced different challenges and was a victim of the circumstances surrounding her. Her parents were drug addicts and fought every time. She grew up never having peace as a little child. She only took solace in loneliness. The house in which her grandparents had taught her the godly ways of life soon became a place for drug trafficking and sexual pleasures. She was, beaten and rejected. She resorted to prostitution to earn a living. She also transferred the aggression she received from her parents towards her children. But God still loved her despite how far she had strayed from him. The Rev played a significant role in her life and helped her overcome her distress by giving her useful advice and tips.
She discovered God's love for her; therefore she acknowledged her wrongdoings, asked for forgiveness, and prayed for the grace to work in alignment with the will of the Lord. The book is a motivational one. Human beings pass through even more terrible situations every day. Through this book, she aims to draw so many lost souls to Christ by narrating her experiences. I admired her determination to drop ungodly attitudes and seek Christ.
I didn't dislike anything in this book. Each chapter was an inspiration. Each chapter portrayed a message. The book lifts wounded soldiers of Christ and spurs them to run with diligence the race that is set before them. At the end of every chapter, Bible passages can be seen to bolster the entire point of that chapter and for reference. The short, emotional poems at the end effectively portrayed the message. I also admired the brevity of each chapter. Concise, straight to the point, and very comprehensive. I see this book as a call to salvation for certain individuals who are confused about the existence of God due to their past experiences. God is real. This book proves that. She was saved because God doesn't treat us as our sins deserve. He is merciful and just to forgive us. And the fact is that, even in our unfaithfulness, God remains faithful and cannot deny Himself.
This book deserves nothing but a perfect four out of four. As our faces differ, so do our problems. Many individuals out there are suffering abuse, both physically and mentally. This book is for them. Seeing someone with similar experiences can help heal wounds and fix broken hearts. The book is a call to salvation and reassurance that Christ loves us and is willing to accept us back no matter how far we've drifted away. It was meticulously edited. I didn't come across any errors.
