You are what you dream. - Jeff Meyer

The Dream Primer – Turn your Low-Def ideas into a stunning Hi-Res future you must pursue by Jeff Meyer is a 97 pages short self-help book. This book packs a good deal of information, case studies, and exercises about how we can recognize and release our dreams into the world.

We live our life on an autopilot without finding our purpose. According to the author, it’s difficult to listen to our soul in this noisy, confused, and distraction filled world. A purpose, a wish, or a desire offers different dream nuances. Something that sparks transformation is a dream. According to the author, working for someone else’s dream is suffocating. When our dream becomes reality, our life becomes blissful and thriving.

Sometimes, we find it difficult to identify our dreams and sometimes, we are uncertain and stuck. We could use Jeff’s help to discover our deepest desire. Transformation is uncomfortable, overwhelming, and baffling. As a consultant and a coach, Jeff has helped us with the tools such as dream accelerator, dream circle habits, and dream generator to visualize our dream. Lack of dream clarity leads to Killer Ds: Discouragement, Doubt, Distraction, Defeat, and Delay. Killer Ds are fear in sheep’s clothing. Visualizing a clear dream will collapse your disbelief and Killer Ds.

There is nothing I disliked in this book. This book is well-edited. I didn’t come across any mistakes. Hence, this book deserves 4 out of 4 stars. Our dream is our treasure. Jeff taught me to unearth my dream and confront the dragon (fear of failure) that's guarding my treasure. The curious child method was my favorite. Jeff uses this method to discover our genuine dream. But we can use this to discover our true self too.

Everyone can benefit from this book. This is a helpful dream journal. As a pastor, Jeff has given some religious touch to this book. He believes our dream points us to God. It’s the author’s belief that a dream is given to us to teach us life is more about the journey than the destination.

We tend to talk ourselves out of our dream just like hitting the game’s reset button every time we are losing. Jeff’s primer will make you take the plunge.

In author’s words,
When you come to a crossroads and realize you must make a choice, remember that by taking a step, no matter the direction, you defy fear. #moveforwardanyway.
