Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a non-fiction book about planning and personal finance. In the book, the author educates people on financial planning since every person will reach advanced age: where they will be unable to perform labor-intensive tasks that can earn them an income. Due to advanced healthcare, many Americans are living longer than the expected life expectancy, which calls for change in financial planning ways. The author criticizes the traditional retirement method, which relies on numbers such as assets and finance and suggests a new planning method that fits the current situation. The author introduces an alternative that encourages people to think of a job they can do during retirement. The author mentions aspects of life after retirement, such as investment options, healthcare, insurance, earnings, wills, and trusts. Do you want to know more about financial planning and planning for retirement? Read this book and find out.

What I like most about this book is the educative content it has. The book talks about planning for retirement, and the author criticizes the traditional retirement planning method, which involves saving since life is changing since many Americans are living longer than before, making it less effective. He suggests another effective method given the situation we are in nowadays. He educated readers on the new effective retirement planning method and showed them why it is better than the traditional one. I liked that the author provided additional resources for readers in case they wanted more information on financial planning.

I did not find anything to dislike in the book since it was great. The book flows well since the author first mentions the problems affecting many people when planning for retirement and provides solutions. He used simple language, ensuring anyone's ability to read it.

I rate Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, four out of four stars. The book was professionally edited since I found a few errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects. Even though the book had errors deducting a star would be unfair given the positive aspects it had and no negative aspects; hence, the rating.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in knowing effective retirement planning techniques. It would be helpful since the author talks about planning for retirement and shows why his modern methods are superior to the traditional ones about numbers. The author avoided sexual scenes and profane language to ensure that the reader concentrated on reading the book.
