E. Alan Fleischauer has delivered an excellent book that offers free financial advice that is invaluable to those who are approaching retirement age and those who are already at the age of retirement but do not know how to live after retirement. Reconfigurement is a book that focuses specifically on the financial aspect of life. It talks about budgeting, insurance, 401(k)s, and so many other topics that are vital in preparing for the ripe adult age of retirement.

In this 209-page book, Alan manages to compress a vast amount of knowledge that he has attained throughout his years at the American College of Financial Services and his own experiences as a financial adviser. This is one of the things I enjoyed about this book. It is very educational and simplifies very complex financial terms to a level that the average person would quickly and easily understand.

Another thing I enjoyed about this book is the author's use of words. Alan uses words that are very easy for the reader to understand. Complex terms were also simplified, which made reading very easy. Also, the author strings together words that help make his writing appear friendly from the viewpoint of the reader. That is, the writer's style of writing is such that it sounds very friendly and even jovial in some cases.

While reading this book, I noticed that, at some point, it felt like the author was just going on and on. While this did not hamper my understanding or enjoyment of this book, it may discourage some people from reading the entire thing. I did not encounter any grammatical errors, which is a huge testament to how well-edited this book is. Also, there are no violent or sexual scenes, which can lead one to believe that the intended audience for this book may include children and young adults; although it may educate them, they may not have a use for this knowledge until they become income-earning adults.

I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I gave this book such a high rating because it is a very educational and informative book that emphasizes the importance of having solid financial plans for one's future. I will recommend this book to all those who are approaching or are at retirement age, as well as to youths, since it is an interesting book that would help them lead better financial lifestyles.
