Do you worry about the future state of your finances? Do your retirement plans cause you any concern? Then you should read this book. E. Alan Fleischauer's book, Reconfigurement teaches financial literacy concerning retirement. It is a brilliant book that will force you to rethink your life's plan. Since the author is a licensed financial planner, his views are supported by verifiable information that is relevant to financial planning. This book compels you to face the reality of your financial situation and choose the level of comfort you want to live in after work.

In his book, the author reveals that many people are unhappy about their current job but stick with them nonetheless because of the expenses they need to cover. This becomes a major deterrent to them because they soon discover that their working efficiency is being affected, which in turn negatively impacts their earning capacity.

In addition to this, financial institutions are also in the habit of encouraging people to estimate how much they would need to save in order to retire comfortably, strive toward saving that amount, and then hope that the money they have managed to squirrel away will last them throughout their retirement. This assertion and the employee's low spirits go against each other because the person quickly realizes that he is unable to save enough money simply because he is not earning enough.

The author's writing style is one of the things that distinguishes this book from other works on the same subject. While many other financial books just care about giving their readers the information they believe they need, they neglect to deliver it in a way that would grab their interest. The final effect is that despite having a book that could solve an issue, no reader is willing to give it a shot. Information must be properly packaged if it is to be digested. Simply put, the method of communication matters just as much as the content of the message.

I liked how the author incorporated humor into the narrative. It enriches the experience of reading the book. The author makes a conscious effort to keep the tone light and conversational, so readers are bound to enjoy this book. I would recommend it to anyone worried about what retirement might hold for them.

I'd give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I couldn't think of any reason to give it a lower rating; the subject discussed was relevant, the writing was engaging, and I only noticed one error while reading. So, yeah! This book, in my opinion, deserves every praise it gets. There were no hiccups in the reading flow, indicating that the editor did a good job. This book was well-edited.
