Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Snatched Up to Heaven is a non-fiction book by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul. It is a Christian inspirational book that covers the testimonies of two little girls, Priyanka aged four, and Deepika aged two years respectively. Priyanka and Deepika are siblings. They share their dreams and visions with their parents who in turn give an interpretation of the visions backed by biblical scriptures.
In the vision, both of the girls are supernaturally caught up to heaven by angels. They get to meet Jesus and experience a series of events, including prophetic events that are yet to be seen in the future and are recorded in the biblical scriptures. They also encounter a different kind of atmosphere, colors, angelic beings, and even some biblical characters whose stories are featured in the bible. While still in heaven, there is a change of scene and the girls get to view a glimpse of hell activities from a distance. Their testimonies are quite intriguing and I would encourage the reader to read the full story in this book.
I like that the authors considered the inclusion of illustrations and drawings from the girls in the book. The colorful drawings give a vivid picture of what they saw, which makes it easy for the audience to relate to biblical teachings. They also aligned narrations from the girls’ visions to biblical scriptures which are quoted in the book. Similar occurrences from bible characters are used to interpret the visions which simplifies the bible-reference process for the reader. Lastly, the authors included video series of the children's testimonies which would give an inspirational experience to the audience.
I did not find any negative aspects in this book. The few repetitions from the children's narrations were taken care of by the authors who did an impressive job of interpreting the narrative. They broke down the testimonies into short, easy-to-understand sub-titles, making the story very clear and straightforward. I can confidently say this book was exceptionally well edited.
Based on the fact that this book was written from raw testimonies from such young children, it must have taken the authors' hard work to interpret the original narrative and finally come up with such an amazing book to reach out to the audience. I would gladly give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to any open-minded audience that wants to understand more about the supernatural eternity, and bible believing Christians who need edification and inspiration in their spiritual journey.
