Reconfigurement is a simple yet effective and meaningful book that breaks down each area of financial planning piece by piece in a very easy and pleasant way, easing the difficult and frightening topic of retirement and financial planning. Since the pandemic and as a result of it, so many individuals have lost or quit their jobs, the book shade light at some point that in fact can be a life changer for quite a number of them.

Although the book was recommended for people in their 40s to 50s, I found it to be highly instructive and convey important information in an easy, light way. And although it was written specifically for Americans, the core structure and principles may be adopted practically anywhere on the planet.
 
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer addressed so many aspects of retirement that I hadn't considered before, and it truly rang a bell for me, while a number of questions in the book got me into deep thought, especially the "Why did you make a specific career choice?" question. I've been so consumed by my everyday duties that I've forgotten why I desired my career in the first place!

Also, the eighth and tenth chapters addressed my greatest concern, whether it was for me personally or for my parents. I often wonder if I would be in a healthy state at that age and time, and what about my parents now—how can I assist them with proper medical care? The chapters did help alleviate some of my concerns and provided me with useful information. So the story of the wise farmer captured my heart, and I loved the Greek definition of "crisis"—a turning point— it gave the word a new meaning and brought hope to it.

I am amazed at how E. Alan Fleischauer was able to soothe the heaviness of the subject and draw me further into the issue with excellent touches of humor, jokes, and funny comebacks. It was exactly what he wanted it to be; very light and entertaining to read. And I like the variety of survey sites provided; I took them all, and I was surprised at how accurate some information was! and will definitely consider reading a couple of the book recommendations for sure.

The book as a whole was a wonderful grab, professionally edited, and there was nothing to dislike; thus, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

I suggest this book to everyone who is dissatisfied with their jobs and work environments. as well as individuals interested in investing and financial planning.
