Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement is a nonfiction self-help book by E. Alan Fleischauer that talks about budgeting and personal finance. It offers the opportunity to learn about retirement planning, financial planning, disability insurance, and much more. Many people are dissatisfied with their employment and workplaces. The author of this book discusses this issue and sets out the idea of change.
Reconfigurement is an insightful book that stimulates both the left and right sections of the brain in financial matters. The author focuses on many topics in this book. From savings to investments to retirement planning, this book gives all-round insights into finance in general. One of the topics in the book is why you should have a financial plan and why it's never too early to have one. This particular topic was very eye-opening. The book also covers finance-related topics like taxes, budgeting, and saving plans. There is also extensive information on retirement plans.
I found this book very interesting. I love how the author infused the book with jokes and puns to help lighten the mood. This actually encouraged me to read through the parts that did not seem too fascinating. The author even stated the websites where he found some of these jokes! I also love the statistical data the author provided on certain topics. There were even some pages with bar graphs! This showed that the topics in the book were well researched and properly thought-out. There were also links to websites that help people determine which career paths are best suited to them based on the information they give about their personalities.
Although I was very impressed by the content of this book, there were some factors here that I disliked. Even though the author infused the book with many jokes and puns, I still found some parts of the book quite uninteresting. It took a lot of concentration to read the book completely. Notwithstanding, this is a personal distaste and might not apply to other readers. It is not very easy to talk about finances in jovial terms.
I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book was exceptionally well edited with no errors whatsoever. This book gave me amazing insights into finance and made me consider opportunities that I never thought would be suitable for me. Although this book focuses on people close to retirement age, I recommend this book to anyone who hasn't already made a financial plan for themselves or who needs assistance with one. This book gave me all the help I needed.
