Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement, by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a nonfiction book that discusses proper financial planning and asset management before reaching retirement age. The content of this book will help put our minds at ease and remind us not to worry too much about having nothing once we retire.
This guidebook is separated into thirteen chapters, starting off with a topic about setting goals. The chapter emphasizes the importance of having a plan ahead of time. The following chapter discusses the importance of awareness in how we spend the money we earn. We are all aware that in these times, things are pretty expensive and that sometimes our earnings are not enough to afford luxury for ourselves and our families anymore. The third chapter encourages us to assess ourselves. It is important that we are aware of our strengths and weaknesses so that we can see which job or path is right for us. Enjoying life while working is also one of the important factors that we should consider when deciding what career path to take. He never ceases to remind everyone to have fun and go on lots of adventures while we still can. And the remaining chapters have a lot more to give us that will surely be helpful in preparing ourselves for retirement.
The book is packed with so much information that is very helpful, and that is because of the author’s experience as a financial advisor for a long time. The author has written the whole book in a way that is easy for his readers to understand by using simple terms. He cited some facts to back up his statements, and this even made his words more reliable and credible. It is also fun to read this book because of the author’s humorous remarks in between his narrations. I have nothing to dislike about this book because it is helpful to me in many ways.
Reconfigurement is worthy of 4 out of 4 stars as it provides knowledge to the readers as well as entertainment through the jokes the author has added in between lines. This is also marvelously written. He even shared with his reader how he has reconfigured his life after experiencing a mild stroke. The editors did a great job making sure that the book is free of errors; thus, they have my praise. The author did give proper credit to his sources by adding source links at the end of each chapter.
I am likely to recommend this book to everyone who enjoys topics related to managing finances. If you are seeking guidance on how to plan your future, this book is the right one for you.
