Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a non-fiction about personal finance and retirement planning. Many Americans are living longer than before, meaning that the average life span of Americans has increased in the past few years. It means that traditional retirement planning is no longer useful. The author criticizes the traditional retirement planning method saying that we have to disconnect tradition from reality. The traditional one involves savings and is mostly number based. He encourages the readers to adopt the new method that he says will work given the current circumstances. He discusses the issues people face when they get older such as money management, social security, retirement planning, investment, and life insurance. Do you want to learn about managing money and planning for retirement? Read this book and learn.
What I liked most in this book was the educative content it contained. The author tries to teach people about planning for the future, but most people don't know how to do it since they try to use their income to impress people and families and forget about the future. The author tries to show them the need for planning for the future since life has changed and people are living longer. If they don't plan well for retirement, they may have difficulties after retirement. The book is very educative, so people reading it may get something they didn't know or improve their knowledge of financial ad retirement planning. I liked that the author provided additional resources about financial planning that would help readers acquire more knowledge on financial planning.
I have nothing to criticize in this book since it was great. The language was simple, and the book had a flow since the author started it by mentioning the basics of financial planning before going into details. The book was short, so many readers would not be bored by its length.
I rate Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer five out of five stars. The book was exceptionally well-edited since I found no grammatical errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects. With the book being great in every aspect, deducting a star would be unfair; hence, the rating.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in financial and retirement planning. It is helpful since it talks about financial and retirement planning, where the author provides a method that would work and criticizes the traditional retirement planning method.
