Reconfigurement, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a non-fiction book about financial and retirement planning. The author mentions the need to introduce new retirement strategies that extend past the traditional method based on assets. He says that many Americans are living longer than before, hence, the need to change retirement planning strategies. The author mentions the disadvantages of traditional retirement planning strategies and provides alternative that people may use that works better given the changing lifestyle. The traditional method involved accumulating enough assets to use during retirement. People are now living longer, so accumulating assets is not enough, meaning people have to consider things such as social security, insurance, and investments. Do you want to learn about a better method of planning for retirement? Read this book and find out.

What I liked most in this book was how educative it was to the reader. Many people are still in darkness when it comes to planning for retirement, but once they read it, they will acquire the necessary information on finance and retirement planning. The author provides a retirement planning strategy that suits the current situation and criticizes the traditional method, which is asset-based. I liked that the author still provided additional resources on financial planning that readers may refer to for additional information. They also enabled the reader to trust the information since the additional resources he provided show that he has done the research. The author has experience in finance, which is evident given the depth of the information.

I have nothing to criticize in this book since it was great. The language was simple, enabling easy reading. The book is short but detailed. When a book is short, it encourages people to read it since many people hate to read long books.

I rate Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer five out of five stars. The book was professionally edited since I found a few errors. It had several positive aspects and no negative aspects. With all these great things about the book, it would be unfair to deduct a star even though it had errors since they did not affect the quality of the information; hence, the rating.

I recommend this book to people interested in financial planning. It would be helpful since it talks about financial planning. Also, people interested in retirement planning would find this book useful. It talks about retirement planning, where the author introduces the most suitable retirement planning method and gives reasons why the method is better than the traditional asset-based one.
