Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fictional book for Americans on how to plan for retirement. The author is a financial and retirement planner, and his depth of knowledge is evident in his book. Alan believes anyone confused about their future after retirement needs a reconfigurement financial planning. Reconfigurement financial planning to the author is about refiguring one’s life at any stage and planning.

The book has thirteen chapters that deal with different topics. The topics are; identifying the need for a plan, expressing the demand for income if reconfiguration has to work, and finding a plan for the individual involved. The topics also include finding helpful tools on the web, stating the importance of insurance to retirement planning, facts about social security, investment choices, health care, long-term care, and the author-recommended books. This book is loaded.

I like that the author has experience with the subject matter discussed because it is evident in his writing. I like that the author kept the pages small, and he is direct in his writing; thereby making the book less cumbersome. I also like his use of simple words making the book easy to read. Also, the use of jokes in the book is helpful as a stress reliever. I like that the author recommended books and websites on the subject, thereby equipping the reader with various knowledge.

The information in the book is helpful to anyone from any country by giving them what to look out for when making retirement plans. My only dislike is that the author limited his research to and focused solely on Americans. It is my opinion, however, that this book is helpful to anyone of any age or country. All they need to do is to find out what is available in their country to plan their retirement.

This book is exceptionally well edited, and the dislikes mentioned above do not hinder the reader's reading experience. So, I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to every adult. However, financial and retirement planners will benefit the most from it. If you need a book to enjoy, this is not for you. However, if you are looking for an educational and helpful book, you found the right one. The book is not inclined to any religion and has no foul language, so any adult interested in planning their future needs a copy.
