Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's memoir, A Dream for Peace, details his foray into diplomacy and the pursuit of world peace. Dr. Berrah describes his life's journey, beginning when he was a little child in the Algerian region of Constantine. During this period, France still had Algeria under its control. Dr. Berrah aimed to become a well-known rider, but he had no idea that his good deeds of patriotism, passion, and commitment would make him famous throughout the world rather than as a rider.

The author relocated from Algeria to Bordeaux to pursue a medical degree. He made plenty of new friends from other nations here. Friendships and ties were established. Dr. Berrah established an organization here with a group of pals who shared his goals to aid Algeria in achieving independence. They had several difficulties. The arduous road to revolution and independence serves as the foundation for this memoir. Due to his diligence and commitment, Dr. Berrah became well-known and even became close to the president of Cote Ivoire. His academic endeavors were also noted. He was a professor at Yale University as well as a scientist. His difficult romantic and marital path was also covered in the memoir. To learn more about how Dr. Berrah conducted his many diplomatic endeavors, see A Dream For Peace.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dr. Berrah's viewpoint on racism, faith, and world peace. I was pleased to find this story while reading it. Reading a prominent author's book and learning from him is an honor. His personality is terrific. He is devoted, committed, patriotic, and a believer. His discussions on happiness were one item that particularly caught my attention. He claimed that the majority of us build a large portion of our identity by acquiring material possessions and tying our satisfaction to these. These things, according to Dr. Berrah, only serve to rob us of our identity and spirituality.

According to Dr. Berrah, "Peace starts with every one of us; it shouldn't be a dream." I think that for us to spread peace to our families, friends, and communities, it must begin with us. The author wished peace for everyone, especially those he had dealt with, including Israelis and Palestinians, but it was impossible, as the title implied. I learned about the "toxic" relationship between the United States, Israel, and Palestine here. I used to believe that Palestine was the only one at fault, but now I realize that all three nations are somehow to blame.

This story doesn't bother me in the least. It's motivational and instructive. I am really proud of Dr. Berrah since he accomplished so much in his lifetime. By marrying a Jew, he demonstrated to us the ease with which both religions may coexist. Because of these factors, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I also didn't spot any mistakes here. It has thus been expertly edited.

I'll suggest this to everyone who likes reading historical fiction. Anyone interested in learning more about diplomacy can read this.

While reading this book it was as though the fight for Algeria's freedom was an easy one. But in the long run, I realize that fighting for independence is one of the biggest fights anyone can fight. I am intrigued by how amazing your review was.

Plenty of Kudos to the reviewer, first for conquering the length of this memoir and 2nd for capturing the essence of the book in the review, I enjoyed reading your review. "Peace shouldn't be a dream...", I agree with this author.

Well-written reviews are always a delight to come across. This would be centered on the protagonist courageous mindset to see that his people regain their freedom, as evidenced by your review. I hope they get what they strive for. Well done.

Dr. Ghoulem seems to be someone who has achieved a lot. And he seems to be a gem in Africa. Though I've never seen or heard about him elsewhere.
