Seeking… Finding… Healing by Becky Lu Jackson is an informative nonfiction self-help book centered on overcoming and healing from past trauma. Jackson battled food disorders, alcoholism, and drug addictions. She took an honest look at her life and realized that the trauma from her past was what was driving her destructive behavior and harmful addictions. She made the decision that she needed to pay attention to these prior traumas and figure out how to deal with the feelings that were still negatively affecting her life. To get rid of the anguish from the past, she devised a technique for communicating with her younger self. She started developing a methodology for inner family healing. She was able to pinpoint the source of the anguish she was experiencing currently by focusing on her younger self at various ages in her history. Furthermore, she may communicate with her younger self during the visualization process and choose how to deal with the trauma or pain.

I appreciate how openly the author shares her personal struggles without making it seem impossible to find recovery. She also includes some of her clients' experiences about how the Inner Family Healing model helped them change their lives. This provides the reader with something to identify with and gives them hope that they may cure themselves. I also appreciated that the author included several citations to the writings of other authorities so that the reader could do more study or reading on the subject.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-written and intriguing to read. The book's cover, which is more simple and less ornate than those of other books, is something I particularly admire. It gives me great pleasure to thank and recognize the book's author. This is because she has the courage to open up about her inner healing journey, which can be quite challenging to share with others. She enables us to see the difficulties one might experience and resolve them inside.

The book teaches people how to welcome their younger selves, as well as accept and make peace with their past. The author's book is an example of simplicity at its finest. She gave her message in a clearer manner, which I appreciated. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to readers who are willing to reconcile with their past and embrace a new level of freedom and healing.
