In Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer, the author gives details about how a person could redesign their life. They also give information about careers, investments, health insurance, 401ks, and IRAs. The novel supplies readers with factoids and references to help them grow in their understanding of these applied concepts.

The book provides good analogies and a lot of examples. It also contains informational and relevant information. The author really looks at the person as a whole and their effort to plan for the future. Light humor is also sprinkled in to help the book flow and overall add to the story. The author supplies specific resources to get information and ideas, which would help the readers with challenges like picking a career, life insurance, and more. The narration in the story is also good and helps the book stay engaging and interesting. The details really help the reader not only understand the concepts but also give the reader the resources to help them configure specific plans in life.

Though this book is well-written, readers may need a good understanding of finance to grasp the concepts at times. If you are completely new to finance or don’t understand concepts like stocks very well this book may not be the best for you. Some of the jargon is hard to pick up and the different classifications of concepts like insurance are hard for the reader to differentiate and understand. Because this novel is so informative it can be hard to fully understand the concepts at times, and readers may enjoy this novel if they already understand some baseline concepts.

I would best recommend this book to people who are interested in retirement and finances. This book is primarily targeted toward people who are 40+, have children, and are married. The information in this novel would be most helpful to you if you apply to those. This book would also be best suited for people who have a decent understanding of finance already and people who have an understanding of concepts like the stock market, bonds, insurance, and careers; or people who are interested in these.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. People will enjoy this novel if they fit the targeted audience and enjoy finances. As I referred to before this book is very well written and supplies lots of information about many financial concepts.
