A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a book about a life well-lived by the author. The memoir describes the author's experiences as a freedom warrior who fought for the independence of his native Algeria.

Scientist and international diplomat Ghoulem Berrah, the author, devoted his entire life to promoting peace. This book described the challenges he faced in trying to secure Algeria's freedom from French rule. Dr. Berrah was given a scholarship to attend a university in France while a student. While still in school, he actively participated in politics and frequently urged and reminded his fellow Algerian brothers of the importance of the country's liberation. By actively promoting complete freedom throughout Africa, notably in his home in Algeria, he takes a stand against racism and colonialism. However, he encountered many difficulties along the way, including prejudice, rejection, and jail.

I enjoyed reading this book, and I like everything about the book. The book also offers a lot of positive aspects that readers can learn from. To start with, I admire Berrah's leadership abilities. He showed excellent leadership quality during the war for his country's independence. He put a lot of effort to get his people involved in the fight for independence. I also liked how he worked hard to spread tolerance, perseverance, and love. Despite his extraordinary accomplishments in politics and science, he remained modest and humble.

I found no negatives to list for this book. I gained a lot of insights right from the beginning of the book to its end. I like how the author kept reminding his fellow Algerian brothers that the nation needed to be freed. I particularly like the book's discussion of subjects like willpower, religion, patriotism, and marriage. There were a lot of personalities, but they were all fully developed. They had distinctive voices and features that made them perfect for their roles. I felt the same feelings as the characters did. I could imagine things the characters imagine, and I see myself seeing things the way they see them as well. I found it impossible not to picture each scene as it happened since the author painted the individuals and circumstances in such realistic detail. The book held my interest.

This book offered both knowledge and information. I discovered no faults in the book, which indicates that it had been exceptionally edited. Consequently, I give this book a rating of five out of five stars.

I recommend this book to readers to enjoy reading historical memoirs.

This book was lengthy, but it was impactful. I learn a lot from Berrah and his wife on how they ran their marriage despite their differences in religion. Great review.
