What will happen to me when I retire? What if the money I’ve saved runs out? Will social security be able to support me till I die? I want to work even when I’m past my retirement age. Can I do it, and if so, how do I do it and still enjoy my retirement? Reconfigurement is basically about planning ahead for your retirement. It will tell you of all your options. It will also help you get to know yourself by doing a self-review, and let you know the career choices that best suit your personality if you decide to work a different job past your retirement age. You will get to know the options available to you to take advantage of now, in order to have a stress free and financially secure retirement. You would by the end of this book, be able to, with ease, plan out your retirement.

I absolutely loved this book. It was very educational and helpful. The scenarios played out inside the book’s pages are relatable and realistic. The issues discussed are topics essential to us all, at one point or the other in our life. The book motivates one to start planning ahead for retirement. The author is very convincing and so one will readily buy into his suggestions. Also, I applaud Alan Fleischauer because books like this are generally thought to be boring and difficult to understand, but he made it funny and simple. The diction was on point and there were no errors found. This book was well edited.

The only issue I had with this book was the fact that it had an American setting and so those in other parts of the world may find it difficult to easily relate with some terms used. For example, readers in other countries may not know what a 401(k) is. I didn’t. Also, there were a lot of technical terms used in the book, and though the writer did his best to explain them, some still managed to get past his keen eyes.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is because no errors were found, diction was accurate and it was a very helpful book. Despite its setting, one could still manage to apply it to oneself. And any book that makes you eager to keep reading, find out what’s next, forces you to look into yourself and work on yourself, as well as makes you use a dictionary or google periodically, must be a masterpiece.

I recommend this book for all who are serious about planning ahead and even for those who haven’t thought about it. Though it is most suitable for people aged 45 and above, I personally think anyone from the age of 20 upwards can read it.
