Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement is a book written by E. Alan Fleischauer intending to provide guidance or advice on financial planning in preparation for the life ahead after retirement from a career. This is an incredible book as it enlightens the reader (or the retiree-to-come) on how he or she could effectively strategize measures in expectation of a stable, happy life (especially financially) later after retirement from a career or job that is currently the main source of income. E. Alan Fleischauer further comes up with insights into ways that the intended audience could intergrate those financial strategies into daily life to be guaranteed the happy late life he or she expects after retirement.
E. Alan Fleischauer incorporates several aspects in this book that make it not only educating but also entertaining and also motivating to read. First and foremost, in chapter one, he sets off the writing journey with thought-provoking questions which encourage engagement and time for reflection by the reader. I also like it that he uses a conversational and almost playful writing style which made my reading journey a fun endeavour. This book is also spiced up with incredible humour through the sarcasm and jokes that the writer employs throughout the book, this made my reading enjoyable. The stories that the writer employs in several chapters of the book captivated me into continuing reading the book as they serve to emphasize several aspects and points that the writer intends to put across.
Nevertheless, the writer incorporates several quotes each relating to the specific subject matter which serve to bring the point at home, inspite of that, the writer also includes the sources of all the quotes that he uses in the book. I like it that the writer explains the meaning of several words that one may not understand what they mean for example; the word "Reconfigurement" which means planning ahead. Throughout the book, the writer also presents his points and discussions with raw and real data facts which confirms the authenticity of a point that he intends to put across. Last but not least, I like how the writer discusses each matter in a systematic manner and showing connections between the subject matters.
Generally, I enjoyed reading the book as it can be assumed from the points above. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars as the editing was incredible because i did not find any error during the reading.
I strongly recommend this book to persons (under the age 65years) planning and for their retirement and the life after. This is because it touches on various financial aspects that are mostly overlooked or unknown as one is planning for retirement. It also enlightens the reader on how to plan early enough before retirement.
