In this modern age, people are too caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily existence. It is easy for intrusive thoughts to get into our minds and disrupt our enjoyment of life. In Gabriel Constans' A B.R.A.V.E. Year, the narrative posits ways to decrease stress and improve overall health. The main idea is to develop a connection to our inner world. The acronym is a simple mnemonic to help one easily remember ways to counter negative thoughts and improve our mental well-being.

What I like the most about this book is the idea of finding a solution within. I feel like it's nice to deal with negativity by turning to your inner self. I really believe that everything begins with self-awareness. Therefore, I find this book wonderful because it promotes being in touch with your mind and body. I also like how the book does not only suggest daily exercise and meditation, which are already common in a lot of other self-help books dealing with the same subject. The author suggests living in the moment and discouraging dwelling on our past mistakes and future undertakings to avoid negative self-talk. If something needs planning, make sure to allot a specific time for it.

The book also includes exercises that one can follow while meditating. They are really helpful as they have step-by-step instructions and images that one can easily visualize. I feel like half the book deals with these sessions that encourage connecting with our body and mind in the present. The acronyms are presented in this book so one can easily remember how to deal with negative thoughts and emotions.

The writing style of the author is straightforward. There isn't much poetic language, so it is relatively easy to read. It has a nice organization, with a proper title for each part. There aren't any errors in the text, so I believe that the book has excellent editing.

I'm giving this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I find the concepts in this book helpful and enlightening. There are practical exercises that one can follow to achieve the goal that the author proposes. I don't have any issues with the book that will merit a deduction of a star. The book will benefit those seeking to get into meditation. If you're into self-help books that guide your mental health, then this book might be for you.

I like self-help books. Though some teachings are really hard for me to apply, I always still grab that genre. A book that helps body and mind in harmony is what I'm looking for. Inner self-peace is what I need now. Thanks for this recommendation. Lovely review!

The book also offers meditation exercises that can be done while reading it. They are quite useful since they contain detailed instructions and graphics that are simple to understand. I believe that these sessions that foster connection with our body and mind in the present are covered in around half of the book.
