In the world we live in today, several people glide through their days, just existing, without any solid plans on how to develop a solid financial plan that would help them get by in their old age. This book by E. Alan Fleischauer tries to educate people on how to efficiently plan for the future and develop effective financial plans. Reconfigurement, a book some may consider a retirement manual, focuses a lot on planning for a time when one is old and retired from active work and wants to relax and enjoy the rest of their days. How does one save up for their retirement? How do concepts like insurance and 401(k)s help one in the future? This and many more questions are answered within this rather interesting book by Fleischauer.
 
One thing I enjoyed about this book was the author's style of writing. It seems rather funny that the author presents this book in the form of a conversation between himself and the reader. This book is packaged like a conversation between best friends who are just talking about something interesting that would help both of them. This is one of the positive aspects of this book, and I believe many other readers would enjoy this aspect of the book. 
 
In a book that can be described as boring and rather wordy to some, the author foresees this and implants a series of jokes at different points in the book in order to lighten the mood of the book and relieve the serious nature of the subject matter of this book. The jokes contained in the book provide comic relief, and this counts as another thing that I enjoyed about this book. 
 
One thing that I did not like about this book is that it lacks a certain degree of appeal to a younger audience or demographic. The main focus of this book is developing a good financial plan in order to have an enjoyable retirement. Younger people may find a book of this nature, with its serious subject matter, boring and uninteresting. This is the only thing that I would consider negative about this book.
 
I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I rated it this way because this book contains no grammatical errors, which is proof that it has been very well edited, and it is also an educative and informative book, which I would recommend for those who are just kicking off their careers or those who are approaching retirement age.
