Review of Reconfigurement
E. Alan Fleischauer, a financial and retirement planner, had studied that people are living longer. Therefore, there is an increased number of people in their retirement. The situation had retiree medicare in a confused state about what to do with this huge number of retirees and the young too confused about what to do in their prolonged retirement. Others are too unhappy in their professions and careers to think of their retirement. Having studied all this, E. Alan Fleischauer just dipped himself in research and wrote the book Reconfigurement intending to give solutions to matters arising as mentioned above. The less than 150 pages book was published in June 2022 and its major themes are planning for your retirement and finding satisfaction in your career. Topics such as finding your fit career, assuring your life, social security, wills and trust,401K and IRA, social security facts, and investing are covered in detail.
Although most finance books are boring and mostly read by finance people only when revising for their exams, I enjoyed this book. It was flawless and had no editorial mistakes. The author managed to be detailed with simplicity. He also kept the humor that he had promised earlier in the preface. Above all, the book gave me a life-changing insight into how to be fulfilled in my career and how to plan for my retirement. For that reason, I will congratulate the author for achieving his goal to give insight. The author was also capable of reading the reader's mood and encouraging them not to sleep when feeling sleepy. It was just a very enjoyable book.
I lacked any negative issues in the book. Perhaps there are some negative aspects but I did not find them. The book title ‘Reconfigurement’ may be considered Grammarly incorrect but Allan as an author has the freedom to coin new terms.
I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and consider it exceptionally good. It was written with great care, and intense research and was edited professionally.
I recommend this book to be read by all citizens in the States. Despite one’s gender, race, and age, this book has an insight for all of us. The retiree needs knowledge on how to plan their retirement and the young need insight on planning for their retirement as well as finding satisfaction in their present careers. I will recommend this book specifically for States citizens because most of the ideas given in the book are only applicable in the States.
The book reminded me of another book titled The 5 Years Before Retire authored by Emily Guy Biken that I had read a few months ago.
