The Daily Show with Jon Stewart had a funny segment some weeks ago, in which they satirized Ted Cruz's "practice kiss" with his wife before a political event. On the show, Samantha Bee and Jason Jones "demonstrated" how one might indeed wish to avoid mistakes in this arena, insisting that it was difficult to learn even though they have been married to each other for a relatively long time. The sequence was hilarious.

Bee and Jones now have an additional reference they can use when conducting such public service announcements. Fortunately, the author of "Kissing from Head to Toe" (Nikki Leigh – Love and Relationship Coach & Master Sexpert) has assembled a full sixteen pages of instructional information (derived partly from survey results) for others who may be confused on how to kiss. There are some semi-erotic photos included as well, although admittedly nothing that would send you out into the street in search of someone to smack with your lips.

The text of “Kissing from Head to Toe” begins with links to kissing-relevant episodes of Friends and Cougar Town. (Both of these clips are also funny/satirical.) Then we are presented with a comprehensive list of body parts suitable for kissing. Spoiler ahead: all of them.

Here’s an excerpt that demonstrates the level of thought in this work (I can’t call something only 16 pages long a book, really):

“The Nose - This isn’t just for Eskimos. Have you kissed your lover’s nose? You may enjoy planting a tender kiss on the tip of their nose and looking deep into their eyes while kissing them. Or, give them a simple Eskimo kiss to let them know you want to heat things up or maybe have some adult play in the snow on a crisp winter day."

“The Cheeks - The cheeks on your partner’s face – this can be an innocent peck on the cheek or a playful kiss. You can also start with a peck on the cheek and move to the ear or the neck – lots of possibilities. A kiss on the cheek can also be a nice way to be close in a very public situation where a more intimate kiss or touch wouldn’t be appropriate. “

The whole thing sounds like this. There aren’t any whopping lies here, but the entire work is obvious and superficial – an apparent marketing effort for an entire collection of similarly constructed self-help manuals.

Sorry, cannot recommend. I rate this book 1 out of 4 stars.
