Reconfigurement, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, deals with retirement plans and policies.

This highly educated book is divided into thirteen chapters. Through this book, the author talks about the details of several policies.

As the life expectancy of people has increased, the retirement age of 65 is irrelevant. The majority of the people wish to continue working and earn income. But those people are unaware of the way to achieve it. This book helps them in the process. It talks about retirement policies like 401(k) and the need to invest in them. Similarly, many policies are mentioned. After reading this book, one would have a clear idea of investment.

The author's writing style was an important thing that I noticed while reading this book. Instead of using highly formal language, he used a light way to share his knowledge. As the book dealt with complex topics, his light way of saying things made it a lot more interesting and understanding. His writing style is very interactive and I felt like we were discussing the insurance policies together.

The statistics and examples also made it an understandable work. The author took special care in adding jokes in each chapter to lighten the mood. He used jokes prevalent in the topics that he discussed, which was also something I admired.

The third chapter was my favorite. The author shared the names of some websites where one could take tests to determine their personality and career choices. It was highly beneficial for me as I was stuck on what to do next. The final chapter was also important, as it gave names of several books on working from home.

The author also focused on giving histories related to some policies. I learned the historical background of life insurance policies through this book.

There was nothing in the book that I disliked. The author took special care in not using many profanities.

I would give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I decided to give a full-star rating, as the book was exceptionally edited. I found very few errors and that wasn't enough to hinder my reading experience.

I highly recommend this book to those who are nearing retirement. Others could also benefit from this book as it gives a clear idea to plan for their life and retirement. As for me, I am nowhere near my retirement. But this book became a guide for my future retirement. So even if you aren't nearing your retirement, this book will be highly beneficial to you.
