Review of Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Having a Bad Life
Don’t Mind Me, I’m Just Having a Bad Life by Lewis Kempfer is a suspenseful, dark story. It seems to be a portrayal of one man's life journey from a lost and confused child to a twisted, suicidal, and self-loathing adult. It combines awful, startling, strange, and darkly hilarious elements in an appalling way. Lewis experienced neglect as a child and had a propensity for self-harm. His biological father was a bully and a coward. His mother was hopeless. While she tried to stand up for him, her main concern was winning over his father and, eventually, his stepfather. Of course, his stepfather was quite impartial. All Lewis ever wanted was to find his identity, to be loved, and to feel valuable and like he belonged.
There were many aspects of the novel that I liked. Firstly, I liked the way the author described his development from a child to an adult. He provided all the information. Although there weren't many pleasant times, he described both the sad and good occasions. He also discusses his shortcomings and the causes of his depression and loneliness. Second, I admired the book's smooth flow and the way the various events interacted. The greatest aspect of this is how honest and real the author has been with all the facts. You can infer one thing from every sentence in this book: the author is audacious and daring.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was intriguing to read. I'm glad I didn't skip through this book. It acts as a wonderful reminder that everyone is capable of conquering even the most challenging situations, although they are only human. The author never lied, not even when describing the most terrible times in his life. He shows regret for his shortcomings in his failed relationships and truly admits them. The book had a good flow, which I appreciated. My attention was maintained by the events' timing and orderliness. The book's detailed descriptions made it easy to comprehend his life and what he was going through.
Writing such an insightfully provocative work is an impressive feat for the author. I'm happy I found a book that I found to be so interesting. I am rating this book Don’t Mind Me, I’m Just Having a Bad Life 5 out of 5 stars because it was well-written and inspiring to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I would recommend this book to people in need of inspiration or with an interest in touching personal stories.
