Book review: The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson

Post by mbottoms1 »

I struggle when reading Christian devotional type books that they are often flowery and impractical. Not the case with Batterson's book. He talks about in his book the need to pray and ask God for the things we want. He mixes passages of scripture, history, and personal accounts to give the reader a means of creating their own prayer circle. Whether your prayer circle is around family, finances, or work; Batterson gives you insight of how to pray and what to be praying for. I used this book as a 30 day challenge this summer to create my own prayer circles and will be rereading this book very soon. Great book for a Bible study group and I believe a study guide is available.
