Review of Reconfigurement
Retirement is one of the crucial aspects of life and is usually overlooked by individuals. Have you ever wondered how life would be after retirement? Reconfigurement is a non-fiction book that contains tips on things readers should consider while preparing for their future after retirement.
The book is divided into chapters, each explaining a step to take in reconfiguring financial planning. It begins with an introduction to the concept of retirement and why retirement planning is essential. It talked about income being the starting point for any retirement plan. The author also mentioned assessment as one of the steps to take, listing some websites that can help readers with career and personal skills. One must plan for their retirement. To find out some measures to take in this planning, read Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer.
It is a self-help book that will help readers plan for their retirement. The book was not long, as the author did his best to go straight to the point. While reading the book, it seemed like a counselling session. The author mentioned wise actions and decisions to take in preparation for retirement. I like the author’s style of writing. The author wrote as if he was having a physical conversation with the reader. I agree with the steps listed by the author, especially when he mentioned investment.
The author made the book lively and used jokes so that readers would not lose focus. I admire the author’s motive in discussing a crucial aspect of life. The author used his personal life to give readers real-life instances. I was motivated to go on those websites to try out the assessment. The book introduced me to some new words and terms, e.g., 401(k). I had to look up its meaning. There were several quotes I noted from the book.
I found nothing to dislike about the book. The book was exceptionally well-edited, as I encountered no errors. The book was informative and motivational, and the author carried readers along. He encourages readers to start planning early, as present actions will affect the future result. I liked the concluding part of the book. The author listed books related to retirement planning that readers can check out and reminded them to have fun before retirement. I liked the author’s use of jokes in the book. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.
The book is suitable for general readability because it is educational and has a total absence of profanity. I recommend the book to anyone seeking to reconfigure their life toward retirement. However, it would appeal most to readers nearing retirement.
