Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement is all about planning ahead but is quite broader than this. In the transition from being employed to retirement, you need to ask yourself questions to set up a new business; that is if you choose to. Planning and saving ahead does not only cover retirement but also cases of disabilities due to accidents. At the age of 50 minimum, it is necessary to start your retirement plan, it is better to plan for it many years in advance. The Author tries to convince us that insurance is a good idea; He explained the types of insurance and the pros and cons of each type of insurance. When planning ahead you make investments like shares. We must take into consideration variables like taxes and inflation. In the course of reading the book, there are some personality and capability tests to choose your prospective career and there is also a list of job opportunities available to retirees.
Reconfigurement could just be seen as a book that guides you after your retirement to begin a brand new career all over again. The Author is well over 60 so he knows why he is emphasizing the need to plan ahead. I like the fact that he has a very wide knowledge of what he wrote about in the book. At some point, the Author would try to make some comments that would help you not to get bored and remind you of the fact that this is an ongoing conversation between your thoughts and the book.
Personally, while reading this book I guessed that the Author is based in America because his research covered mostly America and it doesn't apply to other countries, especially underdeveloped countries.
As we all know, in many countries the approved, age for working-class citizens is 65 years, the book is trying to put to us that we could still earn money at this age, as long as we have some things already in place. This book is quite educative, illustrative, and quite impactful, it broadened my knowledge of a lot of things. Therefore, I would rate Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer a 5 out of 5 stars, the book was professionally edited and is quite expository.
I would recommend this book to working-class individuals, most especially those who have few years to their retirement, I would equally recommend this book to any other person who would love to widen their knowledge on insurance, shares, and more.
