It is time to kick stress out the window with the beneficial DeStress to Success, a non-fiction novel from Australian therapist and stress consultant Leo Willcocks. The author has helped many people suffering from a wide range of internal problems relating to stress achieve inner peace. To pick up this book is certainly the first step anyone can take towards true happiness. Life throws us all curve balls, and if you want to know how to handle them, this highly praised book clearly has a lot, if not all the answers.

According to the author, a life with absolutely no stress "is an illusion". In contrast to this, he writes: "we can have far less stress in our lives". One of the main purposes of this book is to help people in all kinds of situations change their perceptions of stress. Stress doesn't have to be all bad. Stress doesn't have to hold so much power over us. We can use stress to our benefit, like using it as fuel to propel us to where we want to be in life. The author shows readers exactly how they can do this with comprehensible illustrations depicting things anyone of us can and probably do relate to.

This book has a chapter for everyone, which is what captivated me the most about it. From ways to deal with relationship problems, family problems, financial problems, and workplace problems, this book has it all. It is a wonderful read. The language isn't hard to understand and you sometimes feel like the author is speaking directly to you, motivating and rejuvenating you in mind, body, and spirit. It has the potential to save lives, and given enough time, I believe, it will probably have an effect on a lot of people.

Indeed, the author shows us how easy it is to identify the pros and cons of stress. For me though, identifying the pros of this book was easy, but ticking of the cons proved to be way more challenging. There were none. I've learned a great deal from this book, and I'm incorporating some of those lessons into my way of thinking even as I write this. "Stress relief tips are just one piece of the stress puzzle," the author writes. Even though the world is flooded with stress relief tips, this book offers us those "missing pieces of the puzzle" we are all looking for.

If you find yourself in a situation where your good qualities are constantly overlooked by your bad ones, pick up this book. If you are in a relationship where your partner makes you feel like the worst person in the world, pick up this book. If something out of your past anchors you down while simultaneously keeping you from moving forward, pick up this book. This book "gives everyone the tools to handle stress the way top performers handle stress, allowing everyone to become a star." I've said enough. My rating is 4 out of 4.

It is. Hey, remember that book you reviewed with the amazing cover--Big Mojo by Jack Getze--where I said something about how the cover had me already? This is sort of what happened with this one. I chose to review this book based on the cover, and it ended up being so much more than creative art work.

Good memory! I tend to notice the cover more after I've read the book. Then I either appreciate it or think it's not a good fit. Many books are better than the cover leads one to think. I agree that the cover of this book is very artistic.

Nice review. The book seems really helpful, especially since the author acknowledges that a life without stress is not possible and moves forward with that premise.

Yeah, that is what I liked about this book as well. The author is totally realistic and it's easy to relate to all the examples he uses.
