Who are we? In It Together (2nd Edition Hardcover from B&N) by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is a book that explains how we are our consciousness rather than our flesh. Our thoughts and spirit make us who we truly are. We are also all connected. This book explains that we must show true love for ourselves and others to achieve inner peace. This includes showing love for our future selves, which is something that many people tend to ignore. Finally, the book concludes with suggestions for living a life with inner peace.

This is my second time reading and reviewing this book, but I was fortunate enough to read it in print the second time. The font and size of the words were visually appealing. It was very pleasant to read in hard copy instead of digitally. It still had the same philosophical content that stretched my mind and opened up my way of thinking. It was a great reminder because I had forgotten many of the ideas from the previous time I read the book, such as the idea of a real you and a false you. In my prior review, I mentioned that I learned many new terms and phrases that I had not previously been familiar with. It was nice to read the book without stopping to look up any terms to get a smooth flow of the book.

In my prior review, I mentioned that I had a difficult time accepting that there was no such thing as evil. The author argues that life happens, and we should not assign a judgment of evil to bad things that happen. He also advocates that everyone should treat each other with love. I agree that we should treat each other with love, and I think not loving each other is a form of evil. It's not that I disagree with the author; it’s just that I feel it should have been worded slightly differently to make it easier to grasp.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. It’s enlightening, and I feel spiritually awakened from having read it. Because I did not find any errors, I can also say it was edited perfectly. It is extremely rare for a book to have such careful attention to detail. It does not exclude anyone based on religious beliefs or a lack thereof. It's unique and refreshing to find a book like this that does not tell you how to think or feel.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in philosophy or who is looking to become more empathetic to others. It helps people be more connected, so it’s perfect for people seeking connections with their fellow souls. Check out In It Together (2nd Edition Hardcover from B&N) by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes!

Our thoughts and spirit make us who we truly are.
In this materialistic, body-conscious culture, it is refreshing to be reminded that one is not a body but instead is a spiritual being.

He also advocates that everyone should treat each other with love.
That's very kind of the author. That falls on the Golden Rule again and the second commandment from the Bible. This book sounds to contain a lot of Philosophy. I like it. Wanna grab a copy of this. Thanks for your wonderful review, Julie!

I said in one of my comments to another review, that philosophy makes my head hurt, and so it does. However, I’ve read this book several times and find something new each time. While I can’t agree that there is no evil, I do agree that all events can’t be construed to be evil just because they are bad. Stuff* happens.

I have read this book twice - the first time I read the e-book and the second time I, too, got the hardback. I enjoyed the physical copy of the book so much more! The font and space in the book was just lovely!

Great review!

I completely agree! Some font is better than others, and this one was great. Thanks!
