Review of A Dream For Peace
In reality, being a leader is a very difficult undertaking. When difficulties are encountered from many perspectives, it becomes even more difficult. But when a leader is successful in guiding his followers in the correct direction, it turns into a story of triumph. We discover this kind of leader in A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, who was successful in guiding his people in the correct direction and all the way to freedom.
Algeria is the home nation of Berrah, an African. Since his countrymen were still under the rule of their colonial overlords when he was young, he already had a burning desire to aid them in achieving independence. We learn that since he was a young boy, Berrah has been determined to see that Algeria is one day freed from its French colonizers. He gained a scholarship to study in France. He specifically studies medicine. He established a union there with a few other African natives to aid in the struggle for freedom. The name of this organization is the Association of North African Muslim Students. He created this bond with his Muslim brothers because he was a Muslim. Berrah has a wide range of skills and has worked in various fields. At some point in his life, he held a position as a professor. He was once a researcher as well. He was also heavily involved in politics. His story was a triumphant one, as he succeeded in leadership and was eventually recognized by the president of Ivory, who appointed him a diplomat. Was the battle to free his people so simple that he won it in a flash? What were some of the difficulties this gem encountered while battling for his freedom? When you read this book, the solutions to these questions will become clear.
Reading this book was enjoyable. Reading about Berrah's childhood and how he dealt with the hardships of the French colonists was incredibly motivating. This inspired me to believe that, as long as I'm motivated and have a positive outlook, I can accomplish anything. He had such brilliant outside-the-box thinking. He was so clever to think beyond the box and convince himself that he could do it. Berrah's ability to remember his home was yet another admirable quality of this book and his life. There is no place like home, therefore I'm delighted he continued to work for peace while studying overseas and even went so far as to organize a union. I also like his commitment to achieving his objectives. Contrary to the majority of individuals, they frequently give up when faced with difficulties that are at least beyond their expectations. In Berah's instance, it was different. Despite the obstacles, he persisted, and I'm convinced that if he had given up, his name might not have been known until today. He really is a fantastic leader. Everything about him suggests as much.
I didn't find anything in this book to be negative. Berah has numerous admirable traits, so there is nothing about him to dislike. This novel was written very well. I also like the author's choice of language. The book did not feel like a typical memoir, so there was no reason for me to get bored while reading it. As the author included visuals in the narrative, it became more enjoyable. It aided my imagination.
This is such an insightful book. It was professionally edited since I detected some errors in it. However, as I was unable to find anything bad to say about the book, I will give it a rating of five out of five stars.
I recommend this book to readers who are interested in discovering what true leadership entails and how to become one.
