Flying High with Gringo Billy by Billy and Kay Dekle is a fantastic book. Billy is the main author but has support from Kay's diary entries. In this book, he writes about himself and his beautiful wife.

Billy, a fine-looking man, developed a passion for flying planes as a kid. This was after spending a few days with his cousin. He grew up to become an expert pilot and got married to the love of his life, Kay. They had two beautiful daughters. But it happened that when he wasn't making enough money anymore as a pilot to fund his lavish lifestyle, he decided to venture into the life of crime, piloting smuggled drugs in and out of the country. He got divorced and then remarried Kay. "Gringo Billy," as he was mostly called, used his expert piloting skills to run a highly effective marijuana smuggling cartel in the United States. He accomplished this by flying and stealing planes and loading them with smuggled goods into and out of the US. This he did at the expense of his family, especially his wife. The FBI was on his tail, leaving his wife to worry about his safety every day. Did the FBI catch up with him? What became of his family in the end?

Through this exciting story, we can see a fantastic expression of interwoven emotions. Kay struggles to hold back her frustration, anger, and regrets, as well as her excitement, love, and passion for her reckless husband. Furthermore, there is so much in the book, Flying High with Gringo Billy, to keep the reader on their toes. There is so much crime, drug abuse, getting chased by the police, and betrayal within Billy's cartel. Moreover, so many people are involved, especially people with criminal records. Readers will be fascinated by how all these play out. Also, how a man on parole can run a successful drug cartel, smuggling drugs, and cash through airplanes in and out of the United States, will beat the reader's imagination. At the same time, the author captures this story from his wife's point of view (through her diary entries) as she struggles to put up with a wanted and reckless smuggler of a husband. It justifies the accuracy of the details.

The book is filled with the exciting adventures of Billy as he travels through air, land, and sea. Something is going on at every turn. He increasingly gets involved in the life of crime, losing his friends and partners, making new ones, and making dangerous and exciting moves. With all the tension and action, there is still enough humor to keep the laughter and smiles flowing.

The book easily captures its readers from start to finish. Its grammar is simple, its fonts are easy to read, and every chapter has an intriguing story with so much suspense. Anyone who finds airplanes and flying enjoyable will love and appreciate the book, as it takes the reader through the world of airplanes, their features, types, and how they work. Lovers of crime novels with fast-moving action will also enjoy this book. The book is professionally edited, and there's nothing I dislike. Therefore, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is replete with a lot of daredevil schemes. I have read books that talk about drug trafficking through the usual road routes but by the air? Wow!

At times when the lavish lifestyle can't be afforded anymore, here comes the dark side occurred. The book's content is suspenseful, which is appealing to crime novel lovers. As not a fan of the genre, I'll pass. Your review is great!

It'd be great to learn a thing or two about planes and flying in this book. It's too bad Billy had to engage in illegal activities to survive.
