Review of Reconfigurement
Have you ever thought about your future once you reach retirement? Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer will solve any doubts regarding how the system in the US works and what you can financially do to make sure the last years of your life are covered.
The system in the US can be complex to understand and most people do not realize the importance of having a plan in mind to be gradually carried out during young adulthood. The book is divided into the topics of main importance to help the reader underline a financial plan to ensure a good life. The chapters go from health and life insurance to retirement and personal savings. I must say the author is indeed a professional with a fruitful career that he has maintained for many years. His job consists of providing guidance to people and that is exactly what he does in this book.
Probably one of the aspects that I enjoyed the most about the book is that it is a light reading. Despite having a technical vocabulary, Alan managed to explain it all through simple words. He also kept the chapters short and added some humorous lines that address the reader. Additionally, the book contains some pictures with funny quotations and also some deep thoughts that would for sure make the reader stop and reflect on their own doings. Another aspect worth mentioning is the examples the author provides. Personally speaking, I find it extremely useful to encounter examples that help me connect the theory and the practice. Regarding the vocabulary used, there is no instance of cursing, which, from my point of view, made the reading even more pleasant. Last but not least, this book has zero grammatical mistakes. It was obvious to me that the book has been professionally edited.
When thinking about the negative aspects of this book, the only thing that comes to my mind is that at the beginning it took me a little while to get the idea of the book itself. Even though I felt it was a bit slow at the beginning, it can be just my perception. Therefore, and without any other negative points to mention, I decided to rate this book with a shining 5 out of 5 stars.
To sum up, when you read Reconfigurement, you will most certainly find a neat, well-organized, well-written book full of new information. It is the perfect ally for all of those who take finance seriously. Needless to say, this book is suitable for adults since the context has no relevance for young people.
