Many people fail to plan their future after retirement because they believe it’s not a crucial stage in life. Retirement is one of the inevitable stages of life, and this book by E. Alan Fleischauer gives readers steps to take in planning for it.

It is a 153-page book with 13 chapters. The table of contents is in the form of links for readers to navigate to a particular section easily. The book introduces the reason for retirement planning and why it is necessary to plan early. The author then advises readers on things to consider during their retirement plan. As a financial advisor, the author gave good statistics and used diagrams to explain his point. There were boxes containing quotes and words of advice. The author made use of jokes to carry readers along. Read Reconfigurement to figure out the proper steps to take while planning for retirement.

It is a self-help book that is both informational and motivational. The author considered income the first factor necessary in planning, and I strongly agree with his words. I believe it’s an employed person, and one who earns that much should worry about retirement. The author mentioned “401k,” a term I’m new to, and I just figured out its meaning. The author also talked about taking assessments and gave websites that would be helpful. I was motivated to check out those sites and try out the test.

The author lists some software that would be helpful in retirement planning. It also advises readers to apply for life insurance and health insurance programs. Another step the book mentioned, which was my favourite, was investing. Investing is one of the methods for securing one’s income to profit later. This insurance program will benefit individuals a lot. The author tells readers to have fun before retirement and that the earlier one plans, the better the result.

There was nothing to dislike in this book. I liked that the book was not long, and the author delivered great information in a few pages. I almost got bored due to the book’s excessive use of financial terms, but the jokes liven up my mood. I appreciate the author for coming up with this book of good value. The author listed some other books related to retirement planning for readers to check out. I learned a great deal from the book. The book was exceptionally well-edited, as I encountered no errors. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend the book to a mature audience because they are closer to retirement. The book will be good for anyone who wants to plan early and take steps toward retirement.
