For most people on Earth, one of the most important aspects of their adult lives is earning a living through different means. Whilst it's not possible for everyone, most people wish to stop working at a certain age and retire. But retirement usually requires a healthy savings account and an equally healthy retirement package. A lot of people fail to save enough and ensure that their retirement plans will be enough to last them for the rest of their remaining lives. E. Alan Fleischauer, being a financial advisor with experience that spans two decades, compiled a set of things to consider and reconsider to ensure that we survive retirement. Reconfigurement puts everything in perspective and offers great advice on how to fully prepare for life after work.

E. Alan Fleischauer's vast experience in matters of finance proves very valuable in this book. In a matter of a few paragraphs, it becomes readily apparent that the author has extensive knowledge on the matter, and that's important because it gives the reader an incentive to read further.

We are always taught the same things when it comes to retirement, and what I found incredible about this book was that it dismantled the misinformation and misconceptions that we have accumulated over the years. This was probably my favourite part of the whole book. The realisation that I didn't have to follow certain rules and that it wasn't too late to start preparing for retirement gave me a feeling of hope and determination.

I didn’t care for the humour attempts in the book, however. I think that the author didn't need the humour to sell this book. The way he wrote most of it was fun and easy to understand, and for a book that seeks to educate, that was enough for me. Ironically, I found that the humour killed some of the fun vibes I was getting from the book.

The humour attempts almost ruined parts of the book for me because it was corny and bad, but I still think that the book deserves a 5 out of 5 stars rating. It's a well-packaged book. It's informative.

I would recommend it to someone anxious about the advancement of their retirement plans. As someone anxious about the subject matter for some time, I found the book to relieve some of that anxiety. I received hope from this book, and I hope that it can give more people the same feeling if they are anxious about their future.
