[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Rebuilt Recovery - Complete Series" by Heather L Phipps.]
Rebuilt Recovery - Compete Series by Heather L. Phipps is a series of books meant to guide readers to the correct path of Christian faith. Phipps' book acts as a GPS, showing readers where they are and where they must be.
The compilation is a series of four books with the same goal. The first book introduces readers to spiritual basics such as faith, doubt, and expectations. It handles each topic, teaching what to embrace or drop. In the second book, the author moves a notch higher to tackle some overlooked things that may corrupt believers' faith. The author tackles the tongue, thoughts, anger, anxiety, and many others that can lead people into a big mess and gives strategies to avoid such messes. In the third book, she guides readers to self-realization. She teaches in detail about forgiveness, love, blessings, and many more. Finally, the last book delves into relationship dynamics and communication as the last steps in the healing journey.
This book is fantastic in many ways. I liked its gradual and understandable healing process. The author starts by clearing weeds in her readers' hearts before continuing to plow and plant healing seeds, then finally watering them. Secondly, I appreciate Phipps for putting serious life issues like addiction, anxiety, trauma, and abuse in one place. Therefore, readers will save time that they would have spent looking for different books to solve psychological problems. Furthermore, this book is very educational. I benefited greatly from its teachings on guilt, relationships, pride, giving up, and many others. Also, from reading this book, I realized the enemy's tactics to kill God-given dreams while portraying his action as the right thing to do.
Moreover, unlike many other healing books, Heather Phipps warns her readers that this book is not a quick fix or an alternative to medication. I love how she emphasized that only the Lord can fix brokenness and that books and coaches keep us company. Additionally, I liked the extra features in this book, such as icons and boxes for important points to consider, tips to understand the topics, scriptures, and important quotes. This feature made the book's formatting unique and appealing. Also, tasks in the book will help readers actualize what they have read, thus impacting the healing.
I did not encounter any negative aspects in this book. It was exceptionally well-edited, and I did not dislike anything about it. Therefore, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book series to people looking for a Christian guide tool to help them heal from addiction, trauma, and spiritual problems.
