Butterfly Awakens by Meg Nocero is an exceptional emotional memoir. The book depicts how grief can lead to spiritual growth, happiness, and destiny. Meg Nocero is an Italian American lawyer who lost her mother to cancer. Nocero's mother was more than a mother to her. She was her best friend, life coach, and cheerleader. The pain associated with this loss cocoons her in confusion and unhappiness. She begins to question herself and grows desperate for change. As the voice of her soul becomes too loud to ignore, she starts to look beyond the scoop of what is. This state of being causes her to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Taking this leap of faith transforms Nocero into a soul on a mission to find her true calling. Through this memoir, she takes readers on her transformation journey. From a broken soul cocooned in grief, to a butterfly now living in her destiny.Read the book and find out how she did it.

The text is emotional and honest. I love how Nocero opens her life to readers. She willingly shows us her pain and confusion. The emotion of grief and happiness is very much alive in this memoir. I love the sequence of the novel. It follows a yearly sequence, which makes it easy to follow. The sequence also allowed me to connect to the author's experiences, spiritual awakening, and happiness. The author uses inspirational quotes in the text. This is another lovely touch. These quotes set the tone for each chapter. They also remind me that there is beauty in brokenness. Another thing that I love about this book is the photo gallery at the back. It makes me feel as if I truly know the author.

I found no faults with the book. The novel is a great memoir of encouragement and inspiration. So many people are struggling to overcome grief and to find their true calling. This book can be of great assistance. Grief is a part of life. There were times when it was a bit overwhelming to read. But this just made the text even more realistic. Death can be hard to deal with but knowing that you are not alone can make a significant difference.

I rate this book 5 out of 5. The book is well-edited and easy to follow. It's detailed description allowed me to create visual pictures which amplified me reading experience. The author does a great job at explaining her experience and transformation.

I recommend this book to anyone that is experiencing grief. The text contains numerous nuggets of wisdom. The knowledge it provides can offer guidance to anyone looking for direction. This book would also make a great read for persons who are struggling to overcome failure. The text shows that it is possible to get up after being knocked down. Failure happens, death happens and this story will encourage you to get up after the pain. Finally anyone that is being nudged by an inner voice to take a leap of faith but is too afraid of the unknown. This book is for you. The soul is the master of direction. Your job is to listen and follow.
